2010 Dinner
Nearly 1,000 sports enthusiasts from London and the surrounding area joined us at the London Convention Centre for an unforgettable evening of laughter, entertainment and inspirational stories. One of the highlights of the evening was the speech given by this year's Thames Valley Children's Centre Ambassador, Rebecca Rivers, who is a wonderful advocate for herself and the other clients at TVCC. Because of the dinner's support, Thames Valley Children's Centre can help children and youth like Rebecca live a healthy, active lifestyle. Or, better put in Rebecca's own words:
"The great and supportive people at Thames Valley Children's Centre have helped me realize my potential by giving me tools to make my life easier. Thanks to the support of donors, there will be people and resources to help not only me, but all the other well-deserving clients of Thames Valley Children's Centre."
The dinner also supports Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic. Sports injuries are one of the leading causes of disability in Canada. Funds from the dinner will support research programs at Fowler Kennedy designed to improve surgical and rehabilitative treatments for musculoskeletal disorders.
It also supports research programs at Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, a world class organization helping to keep active people active. Many of the athletes at our head table have paid a visit to the Clinic and can't say enough about the professionalism and rehabilitative services that were provided.
